BTC to Honor Famed Texas Ranger
The Buffalo Trail Council, Boy Scouts of America will be honoring Texas Ranger, Joaquin Jackson with its annual Good Scout Award.
This is your opportunity to meet a living legend, famed lawman, and good Scout. From the time that he was a young Boy Scout until present day, Joaquin Jackson, Texas Ranger, has lived his life by the Scout Oath and Law. Here’s a unique opportunity for you to meet this legendary man in-person.
Mr. Jackson served 36 years with the Texas Department of Public Safety – including 27 years as a Ranger. He has appeared in several movies including The Good Old Boys with Tommy Lee Jones and the television adaptation of Larry McMurtry’s Streets of Laredo. His memoirs, One Ranger and One Ranger Returns are some of the most captivating criminal catching tales ever written.
Capacity for this adult only, BBQ dinner event is limited to the first 45 to RSVP. Recommended minimum donation toward Scouting is $125 per person.
