Can you solve the mystery? Chaparral Camporee 2014

Chaparral district committee and its Unit Leaders are pleased to host the Chaparral District
Camporee. The Camporee will be held September 26-28, at the Price Ranch in Big Spring Texas.

This year’s theme is Boy Scout Investigation -B.S.I. The theme differentiates the fact that the camporee activities primarily happen Saturday. The missions will be assigned and scenarios will be presented at SPL and SM meeting Friday night before lights out. This theme is designed to appeal to the sense of fun, adventure, and imagination so active in boys. In addition the program helps them practice Scouting skills, team building, personal reflection, physical agility, and resourcefulness.

There will be several tasks that the scouts will need to use their investigation skills to complete the task using scout skills along the way. We will also be using a HAM Radio station and radios in the sites to communicate.

We think this year’s theme and its activities will be a blast for both scouts and adults. SCOUT SPIRIT will be on display throughout the camporee. We will see the districts units, troops, and crews alike. We have also sent an invitation to all Buffalo Trail Districts so this should be a great event!
