Regular Meeting Schedule

District Committee Meeting - All Scouters in the Big Bend District are invited to attend this meeting. We will be meeting first Tuesday of every month at 7:00pm at the Alpine LDS Church, located at 43108A Farm Road 1703. Click here for the latest District Newsletter.

The District committee works to support the various programs of the BSA through the following subcommittees: Finance, Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts & Venturing, Membership & Relations, and Outreach. Emphasis is being placed on the following: starting new units, training leaders, youth advancement, camping and outdoor activities, and communications with and between our chartered organizations, our units, and the Buffalo Trail Council.

Upcoming District Events & Important Dates

  • Cub Scout Segment PatchCub Scout Segment Program – The Cub Scout Committee of the Buffalo Trail Council is excited to announce and launch a brand new recognition program for council Cub Scouts! Your boys can earn a variety of exciting new patch segments by participating in a variety of activities sponsored by your Pack. Everything from ranks earned to fire safety and from horseback riding to popcorn sales, there is an award to be earned! These segments can be sewn around a center patch (pictured) so boys can be proud to show their accomplishments.   • PAY ONLINE – To pay for any Buffalo Trail Council event online, please use the following link.  This will allow you to pay any fees associated with the event via check or credit card, through our secure online payment system.  Remember, you must turn in the individual registration forms to the event!  Just mark “Paid Online” on the form and email, fax, or mail your registration form in to get on the list for the event.  Thank you!

Scott Britton, District Director for the Big Bend District visits with boys from Alpine Elementary School to invite them to join Cub Scouts.  The Alpine rally ended up being a huge success, with 40 boys recruited and some new adult volunteers as well!
