Every Boy Deserves a Trained Leader! Please take the time to complete the training courses that are relevant to your Scouting position. It is our hope that all leaders take the time to become trained in order that we may deliver the best Scouting program possible to the youth of the Buffalo Trail Council. Each segment of training is done separately and will take 10-25 minutes, depending on the session. In each of the training courses you will be asked to input your name, unit number, and BSA council name. After a few minutes the screen will show a completed “training card” for you to print. Keep a copy for your records, and send one copy to the Buffalo Trail Council so that we may update the training files with your information.

Supplemental Training Modules

Supplemental training modules are designed to provide orientation beyond the basic training offered in New Leader Essentials and leader-specific training. Each module is a unit of training that can be used as an outline for a group, for personal coaching, or for self-study. Most of the outlines should require about an hour to complete. Consider each unit of study to be an introduction to the subject. Scouters are welcome to download subjects that are of interest for personal or unit use. Click here (updated link) to see a list of these subjects.
