Overview of Online Training Courses

Here is an overview of Commissioner Training from:

To be considered “Trained” Commissioners (and wear the “Trained patch) need the following:
  •      – Youth Protection (live or on-line)
  •      – Commissioner Fast Start if new to Commissioner Service (on-line)
  •      – Basic Training – Now Position Specific.

The materials for the Basic Training is found in ZIP files on the above training site. You may do the Unit Commissioner Training in the course of your District Commissioner meetings. I would suggest all Commissioners read through the material in the Unit Commissioner file. The material contained in our BTC Commissioner Handbook pretty much cover the basic training for both positions.

Additional training is listed below.  Training is on facet of our Monthly Meetings. Annual Training is completed at the December 5 Conference. Commissioner College curriculum is fully on the BSA website and can be self-studied (will discuss at our meeting on the 24th). National Training is available at Philmont. If you have Philmont training, it can cover most of the items above, depending on your circumstances.
